2018
Northwestern teachers discuss and support the idea of installing a pool within the school district. Resident survey was developed and sent to residents to gauge interest.
2019-2020
Northwestern Swim & Fitness was incorporated as a nonprofit and registered in the state of Pennsylvania for fundraising. Recognized by the IRS as a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit. Development of a Board of Directors. Established an online presence and began vocalizing our initiative.
2021-2022
We began accepting donations towards a feasibility study, placed inquiries on parcels of land and pursuits for financial resources. Increased our presence at local events.
2023-Current
Established the Resource Development Advisory Council and ran our first public fundraiser- Indian River Citrus. We are continuing to raise funds and pursue grants towards our first goal of $65,000 to obtain a Feasibility Study.
